Fall Housing Process
Overview of the Process
- Log into your housing portal, and complete your application under the “Applications” tab.
- You will be able to see the applications for the room selection process(es) that apply to you. Some of the processes have different due dates. Be sure to identify the dates relevant to you in the important dates list on our website.
- Form roommate groups with people that you want to live with or be your own group of one. Creating roommate groups gives you the option of selecting from a variety of small houses, suites, doubles and singles up to eight beds or selecting individual spaces near your friends.
- We encourage students to enter with at least a group of two if they are able so that if there are no singles available at your selection time, you already have a roommate selected for a double room.
- Brainstorm a list of at least 10-15 different housing options and preferences in case your first choices are not available.
- For online processes, students will receive a randomly generated time slot and will be able to log into the housing portal and select a room at that time.
- For the in person suite processes, groups will be randomly assigned a time slot to select a suite.
- Once you select a room for all members of your group, or just for yourself if you enter the process as an individual, and finalize your submission, you will receive a confirmation email and be able to see your selection in the housing portal. If neither of these occur, the room has not been selected properly and you should contact ResLife immediately.
- Students that are not housed or do not select a space during the processes will be included in the August Draw process.
Room Draw Schedule by Class Year
Students participate in room draws based on their term of matriculation; this allows students to continue to participate with their peer groups. Transfers participate based on their graduation year.
- Senior Status = Matriculated on or before the 2022 spring term
- Junior Status = Matriculated on or before the 2023 spring term
- Sophomore Status = Matriculated on or before the 2024 spring term

Any student active for the fall term and not assigned a bed by the end of the room draw processes will be housed during the August Draw, which takes place in mid-August.
