How to Apply for Funding

Process 

Undergraduate Research uses MiddApply for all funding applications. See the MiddApply FAQs to learn about the application platform. Email Colleen Norden (cnorden@middlebury.edu) with MiddApply issues. 

Applications require multiple components (including project descriptions, budgets,  faculty endorsement, etc.), and reviewed by committee or designee. 

Carefully review the Creating a Budget and Eligible Expenses page for details about allowed expenses before submitting your undergraduate research application. Talk with Dean Lisa Gates in advance with questions - schedule an appointment with her at go/meet.

Projects are not eligible for funding from multiple Undergraduate Research funds for the same project. Decisions about funding awards generally take up to 2 weeks from submission or application deadline.
