Dear New Transfer and Exchange Students:
Congratulations on your acceptance! It is a sincere pleasure to welcome you to Middlebury College. Transfer and Exchange students are an integral part of the Middlebury community, and I look forward to meeting you when you arrive. My hope is that you are excited about this new journey at Middlebury and that you are beginning to acquaint yourself with the opportunities that await you on campus.
Before you arrive at Middlebury, you will receive a number of emails containing information about your arrival, orientation, course selection, and various aspects of student life on campus. We urge you to read these materials carefully; in some cases, we will need you to respond quickly by sending us information that will help with rooming assignments, health accommodations, and more.
Please note that February Orientation for International Transfers and Exchanges will begin on Tuesday, February 9 (see Early Arrival for more information). February Orientation for U.S. Transfers will begin on Wednesday, February 10. All students should plan to arrive on the first day noted.
For quick answers to the many questions that might emerge for you between now and February, we encourage you to spend time on the Orientation Web site. We will be updating this site on a regular basis, although you should know that the final Transfer and Exchange Orientation schedule will not be posted until January. If you find you have a question that can’t be answered by consulting the Orientation page, please feel free to send an e-mail to firstname.lastname@example.org, or call the Orientation Planning Team at 802.443.3103.

Meet Your Orientation Leader
I have a twin brother, David, who you might see on campus. He looks just like me, so don’t be offended if he doesn’t say “hi!” I am a History major, with a minor in Geography. I am a member of the Student Investment Committee, on the Men’s Water Polo Team, a member of the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee, and I help with Middlebury’s International Student’s Organization. I have lived in Vermont for the past ten years. My freshman roommate was from India and my sophomore roommate was from Jordan. If you want to learn more about Middlebury and campus life, you can email me anytime at email@example.com.
