2018 MiddView On-Campus Interns

Hello Class of 2022 & 2022.5!!! Middlebury Orientation is excited to introduce the On-Campus MiddView Interns for the summer!

Name: Tierra Lu

Bio: My name is Tierra Lu and I’m from Oakland, California, but am now studying English and American Literatures at our beautiful Middlebury campus. I’m super excited to be helping class of 2022 during orientation and beyond, especially as a rising senior this year. Some things I do outside of reading Shakespeare’s sonnets is walking the many trails around Middlebury, trying different combinations of food at Proctor, going to thrift stores in town, eating and singing at the Chinese House, and reading John Milton’s sonnets. The greatest thing Middlebury has to offer, besides their remarkable academics, in my opinion, is the community that I am so grateful to have met. And I can’t wait to meet and welcome you, class of 2022. Let’s have a great year!

Name: Nimaya Lemal

Bio: My name is Nimaya and “home” for me is some amalgamation of 16 houses between Vermont and Colorado, but oddly enough, Middlebury has always felt like home-base. I am a rising Sophomore Feb with an undecided major (currently under heated debate), pursuing Psychology, Philosophy, and Theatre in the interim. I am thrilled to be a part of the MiddView team helping to welcome the class of 2022 and to spend the summer on this beautiful campus, surrounded by students who won’t speak English. In my free time you will either find me in casual business attire writing pretentious poetry in the gorgeous Abernethy Room at Axinn, or barefoot with a smock and my easel outside, gradually covering a large canvas and everything nearby it in oil paint. Tierra and I are delighted to spend these few months emailing worried parents, sending reminders of looming deadlines, and posting pictures of students on mountains, so don’t hesitate to reach out with questions!
