Class Year Milestones

All students at Middlebury College are assigned a Class Dean according to their anticipated graduation year. The Class Deans specialize in supporting students through the developmental milestones associated with each class year in addition to supporting their holistic well-being and providing guidance around college policy.

When to Contact Your Dean—Or Someone Else

Class Deans regularly counsel students about their options in matters related to their academics—from communicating with professors to navigating college policy. Find out more about how your Dean can help.

We also work closely with many other partners on campus and can provide suggestions for Who to Contact in some of the more common situations you may encounter during your four years.

Information for Families

Families of new students can find helpful information relating to the First-Year Experience. For more general details about how we share student information—and what we can share—see Information for Families.
