Outside the classroom, you’ll participate in a range of organized cocurricular activities and clubs designed to help you build new vocabulary while developing cultural fluency.

Movies, lectures, concerts, shared meals, exercise, shopping in town, and even doing laundry provide additional avenues for exploring Chinese culture and language. The daily immersive format in the Chinese School provides the perfect environment for language skills learning and practice.

Cocurricular activities in language provide students with hands-on exposure to cultural information as well as camaraderie with teachers and students at all levels. From evening parties and bonfires to conversational lunch tables and weekend hikes, a variety of interactive activities encourage students to connect with each other and practice their language skills. Students are encouraged to take advantage of these opportunities for fun, informal learning.
