    June is celebrate LGBTQ Month

    June is LGBTQ month. The Middlebury Library has a dedicated LGBTQ+ Research Guide to get you started.  Want to watch a film?  Kanopy, our streaming service, has highlighted 20+ LGBTQ videos to celebrate Pride month. In addition, the Library of Congress has a resource page featuring a LGBTQ+ Studies Research Guide and many other primary source and media collections that document the history and accomplishments of individuals that identify with or are a part of the Lesbian Gay Bisexual, Transgender, and Queer movement. Take time this month to explore the wealth of resources available from our collections or at your fingertips online.

  4. Featured Film for International Women's Day (March 8th)

    March 8th is International Women’s Day and today we feature a film called “Through Chinese women’s eyes” produced, written and directed by Mayfair Mei-hui Yang.New York, N.Y. : Women Make Movies, [2013]. In Chinese with English voiceover. Streaming video on Panopto (Midd login required). Summary: “Presents the transformations in the lives of Chinese women over the 20th century. Documents the attempts to erase gender differences under Mao, today’s changing ideas of femininity, and the crystalization of Chinese feminism at the UN Women’s conference in Beijing”.
