Jessica Cheung ‘15
Senior Producer, The Daily podcast at the New York Times
Jessica Cheung is a senior producer at the New York Times podcast, The Daily. She works with newsroom reporters to remake their writing into audio stories. She also does her own reporting, focusing on politics and education. She joined The Times in 2018 after working at NPR, where she produced and reported at All Things Considered. She lives in Brooklyn, NY.
Kaitlyn Fallon ‘10
Pro Bono Corporate Partnerships Attorney at Davis Wright Tremaine LLP
Kaitlyn Fallon is Davis Wright Tremaine’s first pro bono corporate partnerships attorney. In this role, she leads and oversees the firm’s partnerships with in-house legal departments. From helping companies build out and develop sophisticated pro bono priorities to engaging in direct legal services for communities and causes they care about the most, Kaitlyn is the go-to resource for clients who want to do good in the world. Prior to joining the Pro Bono & Social Impact department, Kaitlyn was an associate in DWT’s Employment Services Group and represented employers in all aspects of their labor and employment law needs. Kaitlyn also served as a law clerk to the Hon. Steven L. Tiscione in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of New York.
Kaitlyn is a graduate of Middlebury College and Brooklyn Law School, and presently serves on the board of the New York Chapter of the Coalition of Women’s Initiatives in Law.
Hana Matsudaira ‘22
Associate Producer at Simon and Schuster
Hana Matsudaira is an associate producer of audiobooks at Simon and Schuster in New York City. In the past year, she has produced books including Down the Drain read by Julia Fox and Pretty Boys are Poisonous read by Megan Fox. She also produced Woman in Me by Britney Spears, read by Michelle Williams and is proud to say she was in the room when the viral “foh shiz” clip was recorded. Hana graduated summa cum laude with honors from Middlebury College in 2022 where she studied English Literature and Chinese.
Cheswayo Mphanza ‘16
Academic Advisor at National Louis University
Cheswayo Mphanza was born in Lusaka, Zambia and raised in Chicago, Illinois. His work has been featured in the New England Review, the Paris Review, Hampden-Sydney Review, Boston Review, Lolwe, and elsewhere. He has received fellowships from the Bread Loaf Writers Conference, Hurston/Wright Foundation, Callaloo, Cave Canem, and Columbia University.
A finalist for the Brunel International African Poetry Prize, a recipient of the 2017 Hurston/Wright Award for College Writers, winner of the 2020 Boston Review Annual Poetry Contest, and a Creative Capital 2022 awardee, his debut collection The Rinehart Frames (University of Nebraska Press), is the winner of the Sillerman First Book Prize for African Poets and was a finalist for the 2021 National Book Critics Circle and 2021 Foreword Indies award for poetry. He earned his MFA from Rutgers-Newark where he was the Presidential Graduate Fellow. He is currently working on a novel.
Melynda Payne ‘21
Partner Marketing Coordinator at Warner Bros Discovery
Melynda is a marketing strategist based in Brooklyn, New York. She currently works at Warner Bros. Discovery as a Partner Marketing Coordinator, where she executes campaigns designed to drive network television awareness. Previously, she worked in Influencer Marketing at XX Artists, and is a graduate of the Financial Times News School. While earning her B.A. in English and Creative Writing at Middlebury College, Melynda worked as a Peer Writing Tutor and President of MiddVolunteers.
