Meet the Dogs of CCI

Welcome to the Dogs of CCI—the much-loved, canine members of our team! We’re fortunate to share our space with some friendly, four-legged “em-PAW-ees” who love a good pet and an occasional walk around campus.

Though they’re not certified therapy dogs, the Dogs of CCI are always here to offer students a moment of calm and a furry friend to brighten the day. Can’t stop by the office? Follow #DogsOfCCI on Instagram.

When you need a break or a little stress relief, feel free to stop by and say hi. Some of our dogs are even up for a campus stroll if you’re in the mood for a walk!

Swing by Kitchel House anytime you need a quick reset, a dog to pet, or even a short campus walk with one of our furry friends. The Dogs of CCI are always ready to bring a little joy to your day.

Chupie

Nicknames: The Chupster, Chup-a-loop, FloopyChupie

A mini golden doodle, Chupie has a special talent for sensing when someone needs a little extra comfort. She’s often found in the office, ready for pets and always sporting a friendly smile.

Her caregiver: Tracy Himmel Isham

Elsa

Nicknames: LaLa, Brownie, Huggie Bear, Tootsie (Roll)

Elsa is a lively springer spaniel who brings endless energy to CCI. She’s happiest when surrounded by students, and her tail rarely stops wagging. Elsa’s gentle, playful spirit is sure to lift anyone’s mood. Elsa is available for walks.

Islay

(Pronounced Eye-lah)

Islay is a golden lab with a heart as soft as her fur. Friendly and patient, she’s a natural at offering comfort to anyone who needs it. She’s always available for pets and walks, happy to bring a sense of calm to your day.

Louie

Nicknames: Bubba, Cinnamon Bun, Louis

Louie, our little Boston terrier with a big personality! Louie’s a people-loving pup who’ll charm you with his goofy antics and warm cuddles. He’s available for pets and more than happy to lounge by your side.

His caregiver: Karen White

Millie

Millie, our lovable mutt, brings a little bit of everything to the CCI team. She’s a curious spirit who’s always happy to see new faces. Millie’s playful charm and easygoing nature make her a staff favorite. She isn’t in as often as some of the other dogs, but she does visit Kitchel House from time to time.

Ronco

Nicknames: Magoo, Bubba

Ronco is a golden retriever who embodies calm and kindness. Known for his laid-back demeanor, he’s a great buddy for those needing some quiet time. As Ronco is in his retirement years, he spends most of his time in his home office, but he stops by a few times per semester.

His caregiver: Matt Kuchar

Tela

Nicknames: TT, Snuggle Bug

Tela, an English setter, is always up for squirrel watching. With her gentle disposition, she has a knack for making students feel welcome and at ease. If you’re lucky, you might catch her walking on campus with Ursula!
