Manager Self-Service
Manager Self-Service refers to the functions and abilities that supervisors can perform in managing their teams in Oracle.
Navigation
MSS can be accessed in Oracle through the tab labeled, “My Team.”
When your team submits requests through Oracle, you will be notified through the “bell” icon on the top right corner of items that require your attention, such as a timesheet that needs approval, absence requests, and more. Managers should process these actions through the “bell” icon.
Apps
Team Activity Center:
- Add certain documents to an employee’s record
- Complete Quarterly Conversation documents (Performance Documents)
- View Employment Info for your team (Position, FTE, etc.)
- Create a time card on an employee’s behalf
Journeys:
- Check the status of your employee’s onboarding Journey
- Complete Journeys tasks assigned to you
Roles and Delegations (Under the “Me” tab):
- Delegate approval ability to another supervisor
Quick Actions
Under Quick Actions, click Show More to see all options.
- Team Time Cards - view and manage existing time cards for your direct reports
- Add Current Time Card - add a time card for the current pay period on behalf of a team member
- Add Other Time Card - add a time card for a particular pay period on behalf of a team member
- Add Absence - enter and absence request (e.g. CTO or SLR) on behalf of a team member
- Existing Absences - view/edit existing absence requests on behalf of a team member
- Termination - enter a termination (resignation or retirement) on behalf of a team member
Approvals
As a manager, you need to be able to expeditiously perform routine managerial tasks such as reviewing/approving timesheets, reviewing/approving absences, and more. When your team submits requests through Oracle, you will be notified through the “bell” icon of items that require your attention such as a timesheet that needs approval, onboarding tasks, and more.
