Share Your Work
Students have multiple opportunities to showcase research work through presentations on campus, at undergraduate research and professional conferences, and through publication.
Present your work
If you are accepted to present your work at an academic conference (undergraduate or professional), you can apply to the Academic Travel Fund (ATF) for travel support.
Undergraduate Conferences
- Spring Student Symposium: We encourage students to share their research and creative work at Middlebury’s annual Spring Student Symposium. Learn more and access resources about oral presentations and posters.
- National Conference on Undergraduate Research (NCUR): This annual conference is a gathering of student scholars from all disciplines. Students must apply to present by the early December deadline.
- Additional Undergraduate Research Conferences
Professional Conferences
Work with your faculty mentors to identify professional conferences to present your work.
Publish Your Work
Undergraduate Journals
The Council for Undergraduate Research has a list of journals that accepts student submissions.
Professional Journals
Many students become co-authors on articles with faculty, particularly in STEM fields. Your faculty member would lead this process.
Please note: the Undergraduate Research office does not have funding to support publication fees.
