What’s your favorite study spot on campus? My favorite spot is the quiet study room on the first floor of Bi-Hall. It is very secluded and quiet offering space to truly lock in. I get most of my work done there. 

Favorite food in the dining hall? This is a hard one because I love the food in the dining hall, especially Atwater! But I’ll have to say my favorite is the yogurt parfait I usually make from Proctor dining hall. My best friend who graduated introduced me to it. It’s plain greek yogurt with mangoes, granola, coconut and a little bit of maple on top. I usually let it sit for a while. I have been making this since freshman year and I just cannot have enough of it. 

Favorite Vermont spot? Favorite Middlebury location? My favorite place to be honest is Yogurt City. Their boba is unmatched in my opinion, and I love taking everyone visiting Middlebury there. It is the perfect place to get a drink and then walk in town to the waterfall. 

Where would you study abroad? I was not able to study abroad, but if I were able to, I would go to France!

What has been the best, most interesting, or most thought-provoking class you’ve taken at Middlebury? The most interesting class I have taken in Middlebury was Improvisational Dance Practices. It changed the way I viewed dance in general. My background says dance is a formula, it is a structure, it has to follow certain rules and go by the beat. But the class deconstructed that. Dance is an expression of the human body, an outlet and one can have fun with it. 

Now that you’re a senior, what advice would you give your younger self about college admissions or the transition into college? I would tell her to give herself some more grace while transitioning. I would also ask her to write down her principles, life can change but the principles you set guide that change.

Why did you choose to attend Middlebury? I chose to attend Middlebury mainly because of how much it resembled home. Being the college on the hill, it attracted me. There is something peaceful about being surrounded by the hills and mountains. Additionally, I got to know professors and students before attending. They provided a warm feeling and I knew for a fact that I am welcome in this community. I knew I could find a home both in the physical aspect and emotional, and also, a place for growth.
