What’s your favorite study spot on campus? The front tables in the Davis Library. They face massive windows that overlook the campus, offering a beautiful view of the changing seasons.

Favorite food in the dining hall? Greek day is delicious, especially the tzatziki and falafel. 

Favorite Vermont spot? Favorite Middlebury location? Vergennes is the quintessential Vermont town. In Middlebury, Taste of India is a student classic for Indian food.

Did you study abroad? I studied abroad at Middlebury’s school in Oxford, England, during the spring of my junior year. Living in Oxford alone was enough to make it worthwhile, and the tutorial-style academics were unbelievable.

What has been the best, most interesting, or most thought-provoking class you’ve taken at Middlebury? Imagining Rural Appalachia in the American Studies Department offered me a rich understanding of Appalachia, a region I didn’t know well previously, alongside its triumphs and hardships. 

Now that you’re a senior, what advice would you give your younger self about college admissions or the transition into college? There is no perfect college or single right way to navigate college admissions. I think early decision/action can make it seem like you must have a perfect pick, but in reality, there are likely many places where you will thrive and have an incredible experience.

Why did you choose to attend Middlebury? The close student-professor relationships, the breadth of subjects taught, the friendliness of the student body, and the access to nature. I grew up near a city and knew that these four years in rural New England would offer a new, enriching experience.
