What did you do during your Febmester?

I worked at the public defender’s office in my hometown, helping to give people a second chance at life.

Where did you study abroad/where would you study abroad if you could?

I studied abroad for a full year. First semester, I went to Bordeaux, France, to work on my French language skills. While there, I made friends from all over the world, who I have kept in touch with. In the Spring semester, I went to Seoul, South Korea, hoping to reconnect with my grandmother’s culture and learn her language. While in both countries, I was lucky enough to travel around their respective regions, capping each semester off with a bikepacking trip with a friend.

If you could go back in time, what advice would you give your younger self to better your Middlebury experience?

If I could go back in time, I would tell my younger self to take a deep breath. During the college application process, it truly seems like every little decision could be the end of the world. Now, at the start of my senior year, I can say with certainty that everything works out in ways better than you could expect. It will be okay!
