Kate Odell

Kate joined the Center for Student Success as the operations manager in April 2026. Previous to that, she worked in Middlebury College Counseling supporting daily operations, and her favorite part of the job was connecting students to counseling resources and support.

She is a lifelong Vermonter and a Middlebury alum, having graduated in 1998. She is a proud Panther!

Her professional background is in behavioral mental health, working in both service and administrative roles. She spent many years at the Counseling Service of Addison County working in the Youth and Family Services Division as a Behavioral Interventionist and School-Based Clinician before transitioning to be the Intake Coordinator and Quality Assurance Officer for the division.

Connecting people to support and resources and thinking collaboratively about how systems can work best for the people they are designed to serve has become her life’s work. She is thrilled that Middlebury is a community rich with many avenues for support and connection and is looking forward to continuing her work with the CSS.

When she is not on campus, she enjoys spending time with her kiddos, husband, and cats. Being with family and friends, cooking, and being in nature (particularly in and on Lake Dunmore) is what fills up her cup.
