Tell us about your Febmester! During my Febmester, I interned for Congressman Jamie Raskin, and was able to gain real world experience in public policy and constituent services!

Favorite study spot? The comfy blue chairs at the back of the second floor of Davis Library. You can’t beat that beautiful mountain view!

Favorite food in the dining hall? I love Taco Tuesdays at Proctor!

Favorite Vermont spot: I love Lake Dunmore - and it’s so close to campus! A great afternoon or weekend getaway when the weather’s nice.

Favorite academic experience: Dr. Susan Burch and Dr. Holly Allen in the American Studies department are incredible, and  the reason I became an American Studies major! In Dr. B’s disability studies classes, she assigns a “Creative-Critical Reflections” project instead of a traditional final paper. It’s a chance to engage deeply with the material in a creative format, which is a hallmark of so many classes I’ve taken at Middlebury.

Where did you study abroad? I studied abroad in Prague, Czech Republic, at the CIEE Journalism program. It was an incredible experience, and I’d do it again in a heartbeat. Plus, I got to take some awesome classes at the FAMU film school, right on the Vltava River!

Why did you choose to attend Middlebury? As someone who has a million interests, academic and otherwise, I wanted to be at a place where I didn’t have to choose just one. Middlebury lets you explore everything, which is the best feeling if you don’t want to be boxed in. Not to mention, it’s a fabulous place to be if you’re an avid snowboarder like I am.
