Nicole assumed the role of Dean of Admissions on July 1st 2019. She develops and manages strategic and creative recruitment planning efforts that enable the Admissions team to identify, assess and enroll new Middlebury students. She arrived at Middlebury in 2014, working on enhancing multicultural recruitment initiatives.
She gained valuable perspective working in academic advising, career counseling as well as continuing education. Her career has spanned more than two decades and includes work with a variety of student populations, from high school students and adults returning to school to artists and designers at the New School (Parsons and Eugene Lang College), Marlboro College, New York University, and the University of Vermont. She is a graduate of Wesleyan University and earned a master’s degree in higher education from the Harvard Graduate School of Education. Originally from Newark, New Jersey, Nicole has immersed herself in Vermont life with a keen interest in getting outdoors at any time of the year and sampling the best cider donuts that her adopted home state has to offer. When she’s not working with prospective students and families, she can be found traveling far and wide to music festivals and trying to buy tickets for shows with her favorite bands and performers before anyone else.
