Hi everyone! My name is Stella, and I am from Atlanta, GA. I hope to major in either Biology or Neuroscience on the pre-veterinary track with a possible minor in Chinese. I came to Middlebury as a match with QuestBridge! I love creating and producing music, playing piano and guitar, painting, all animals, and learning languages! I was an intern at a veterinary clinic and have worked with animals for about 2-3 years now. I love exploring and am always up for a sidequest! I am so excited to share my Middlebury and non-Middlebury experiences! Please reach out to me if you have any questions!
What is your favorite study spot on campus?
The Greenhouse in Bi-Hall
Where do you hope to be in five years?
In five years, I hope to be a practicing veterinarian somewhere abroad! I want to take the time here at Middlebury to further my studies in veterinary care to then carry onto veterinary school. I am also studying languages here to advance and immerse myself in cultures where I could possibly go abroad and work. I want to possibly care for street animals in areas where they are most concentrated.
Why did you choose to attend Middlebury?
I chose to attend Middlebury to explore the liberal arts college experience and wanted a change in environment from my hometown. I come from a suburban town with lots of stimulation, and I wanted to surround myself with more nature and mountainous landscapes. Middlebury has so much to offer, and it completely fulfills my passion for music, visual arts, and STEM. As a lover of learning languages, Middlebury has a great reputation for their language programs which automatically drew me into the school. The community built in and around Middlebury was something that also attracted me to this school; when I first toured, everyone was so welcoming and kind to me.
