What’s New for Summer 2025
Since 1915, the Middlebury Language Schools has offered world-renowned language programs. We continue to add top-notch degrees, languages, faculty, and students from around the world.
New Degrees and Programs!
- Master of Arts in Teaching (MAT) with Licensure offers a secondary (7–12) teaching license in modern languages valid for teaching in the U.S. public school systems. The master’s degree is offered in 9 languages and is both in person during the summer and online during the academic year.
- Russian Heritage Program (4-week in person) is for heritage learners who grew up speaking Russian and want to strengthen their reading, writing, and grammar.
New Graduate Dates!
- Master’s Degree Dates: This summer, our master’s degrees will start (and end!) one week earlier. The 6-week summer will run Friday, June 27 to Friday, August 8. Students earn their master’s over four 6-week summers or a combination of summers and a year abroad or online, depending on the language.
More Funding!
- The Conflict Transformation Fellowship is partial funding awarded to current graduate students (at other institutions and the Language Schools) for the Summer Immersion Programs and Graduate Programs at Middlebury Language Schools.
- The Language Schools has partnered with AmeriCorps and CityYear to match $1,000 of the Segal Education Award.
