Middlebury College is pleased to announce the Premio Famiglia Fede in Italian.

The Premio Famiglia Fede is a scholarship to support graduate students pursuing a Masters degree at the Middlebury College Language Schools and the C.V. Starr-Middlebury School Abroad in Italy in Florence. The Scholarship will fund the complete Masters program for one student per year for the next three years.

This scholarship is targeted to students who have already embarked on a business career path and/or are seeking a career in business embracing the Italian language. The applicant must have a minimum of three years work experience outside of the teaching profession following the completion of an undergraduate degree, and must have embarked on a stated business path that incorporates Italian.

Proud of its reputation as one of the best Italian summer programs, the Scuola Italiana offers a wide range of challenging courses dealing with Italian language, linguistics, and literature, as well as the culture and civilization of Italy, taught by dedicated faculty drawn from European and American institutions.

After one summer on the Vermont campus, students will travel to the Middlebury School in Italy, or Sede, located in Florence, where they will complete their degree in two semesters. The Middlebury program in Italy is recognized for the linguistic proficiency of its students, whose commitment to experience Italian life and culture have made an impression on the Florentine community. The Sede is located at the Palazzo Giugni, a sixteenth century palace designed by the renowned architect Bartolomeo Ammannati and situated in the academic heart of the old city.

To qualify for consideration for one of the Premio Famiglia Fede, please submit:

1. A statement of purpose describing the student’s business and educational background and how it makes him or her eligible for the scholarship, including future plans in the business community.

2. A current resume.
