COMMENCEMENT CEREMONY

Graduates should arrive at Mead Chapel promptly at 4:15 p.m. on Friday, August 15th. The ceremony will begin at 5:00 p.m., and will last approximately two hours. Students are advised to plan accordingly when making arrangements for the evening. Once the procession begins, it may be difficult or impossible to get in line.

Students line up in front of Mead Chapel on the sidewalk leading to Old Chapel Road. Look for individual school signs. Someone from each school will be there to assist in lining up. It is important that students go promptly to this site as there are only thirty minutes to get students and faculty in correct procession. In the event of rain, the following alternate meeting places have been assigned:

FRENCH, ITALIAN - Hepburn Lounge

GERMAN, RUSSIAN AND SPANISH SCHOOLS- Gifford (Gamut Room)

Graduate students from the Schools Abroad who plan to participate in the ceremony should plan to pick up regalia no later than noon on August 15. Late arrivals should contact Marilyn Ewell, Associate Registrar, Language Schools, at 802-443-5770, or email at mewell@middlebury.edu to arrange for pickup of regalia, if there is a valid reason for arriving late.
