Galina Aksenova, an expert in theater and cinema, is one of the many engaging faculty members in the Russian School. The students of the Russian School have a great opportunity to watch Russian movies two-three times a week with two festivals, one on the latest Russian films (including "Brother2") and one on Russian film comedy. Galina is the one who helps students understand Russian film.

In 2000 the Russian School faculty and staff performed "Poor Ivan Ivanovich." The production was directed by Gregori Ziskin of the Russian School faculty.

"Zolotoy Plyos," a troupe of professional singers from Saratov, performed traditional Russian song and dance.
