Activities in 2005 included:
  • A visit by renowned filmmaker Vladimir Khotinenko (72 Meters, The Muslim, Mirror for a Hero)
  • A visit by popular screenwriter, playwrite, and author Aleksandr Chervinsky (Shishkin's Wood)
  • A concert by visiting folk ensemble Zolotoi Plios
  • Showings of the classic silent movies "Twilight of a Woman's Soul" and "The Dying Swan," with live accompaniment
  • An evening of twentieth-century poetry and music featuring actor Veniamin Smexov and musicians N. Kogan and J. Milkis
  • A live performance of Igor Stravinsky's "A Soldier's Tale," in honor of the sixtieth anniversary of the Russian School;
  • A performance of "Russian Christmas" by the Russian School Student Choir;
  • A production of Lev Tostoi's "The Fruits of Enlightenment"; 
  • A student conference
  • Three film series (comedies, tragedies, and current TV series);
  • Charades, Karaoke, Field days, Soccer, Volleyball, tea salons, a literary salon & bookstore, roundtables on living, working, an studying in Russia (featuring current and past Russian School students), student newspaper and films
  • A wide range of clubs and other informal activities
