Activities in 2006 included:
  • A visit by acclaimed author Ludmilla Ulitskaya;
  • A visit by documentary filmmaker Marina Goldovskaya, featuring a pre-release screening of her latest project;
  • A visit by film director Boris Frumin;
  • An evening of classic Russian animation featuring the films of Vladislav Starewycz and live musical accompaniment by visiting artist Yakov Gubanov;
  • An evening of music and children's poetry with actor Veniamin Smekhov and pianist Lydia Frumkin.
  • A lecture-concert on Soviet and dissident music by visiting scholar Vladimir Frumkin;
  • A concert by visiting folk ensemble Zolotoi Plios
  • "The Four Seasons," a themed concert by the Russian School Choir;
  • A production of Ostrovsky's "Woe from Wit"; 
  • A student conference;
  • Three film series (classic film, contemporary film, and current TV series);
  • Charades, Karaoke, Field days, Soccer, Volleyball, tea salons, a literary salon & bookstore, roundtables on living, working, an studying in Russia (featuring current and past Russian School students), student newspaper and films
  • A wide range of clubs and other informal activities
