 Jorge Aviles Díaz, from Vigo, Spain, studied at the University of Salamanca. Professor Avilés has taught at James Madison University in Virginia, and currently he teaches at Wake Forest University, in North Carolina. He has published several articles on Spanish Literature of the nineteenth century and on Mexican contemporary literature.
