Hugo Nava- Sánchez was born in Tlaxcala, the smallest state of México, 42 years ago. He has been a traditional musician for 30 years. His formal education includes a B.A. in Liberal Studies with a specialty in Pre-elementary Education, and a Master of Arts in Teaching with a specialty in bilingual education. He has taught music and art to all different ages. He enjoys spending time with his family, working with children and adults, teaching, helping students to learn Spanish by sharing his culture through Mexican arts and folklore, playing music, building instruments, reading, dancing, and cooking.
