Francisco Layna
, from Spain,
received his
Licenciatura
in Journalism (1976-1981) from the Universidad Complutense, and his Ph.D. in Hispanic Philology (1994) from the University Complutense. He has taught at Harvard University and Boston University, and United Sates university programs in Madrid (Boston University, New York University). He is currently a professor with Middlebury College's program in Madrid, where he teaches in both the graduate and undergraduate programs. Professor Layna has published a variety of research works on Spanish literature of the XV, XVI and XVII Centuries. He has published two books,

as well as numerous articles in specialized journals At present he is finishing his third book in functions of the director, coordinator and editor
