Verónica Muñoz, from Argentina, has been teaching Spanish and Hispanic Literature for more than 15 years. She worked at the Catholic University of Buenos Aires, Argentina, until 2002, when she received a Fulbright Scholarship to pursue her Master in Comparative Literature at the University of Maryland, College Park. In 2004, she started her PhD at the Spanish and Portuguese Department and she is currently writing her dissertation on nineteenth-century Latin American short stories. Her areas of interest include gothic literature, philosophy, and politics in Latin America. She teaches Spanish courses and Latin America Culture at the University of Maryland.
