Denys Drozdyuk started dancing at the age of four in Ukraine. He immediately fell in love with dance and pursued it ever since. Denys was fortunate enough to win numerous Canadian and German Ballroom Champion titles as well as become Three-Time World Ballroom Ten Dance Champion while representing Germany. He trained with some of the best teachers in the world: Janet Marmulla, Brigitte Kluckes-Findeis, Ruud Vermej, Peter Townsend, June McMurdo, Peter Maxwell, Vibeke Toft, Allan Tornsberg, Eugene Katsevman, Franco Formica, and Gaynor Fairweather. Denys was also trained in other styles of dance. While he lived in Toronto, he attended the Sean Boutilier Academy of Dance where he studied ballet, jazz, tap, and acrobatics. In 2005, Denys was admitted to the world famous Juilliard School in New York where he also received a full scholarship. Currently Denys is working on his Masters degree in Dance Education at the New York University. In 2010, Denys was crowned the winner of So You Think You Can Dance Canada Season 3. Denys and his ballroom dance partner Antonina Skobina are currently finalists of all major US ballroom competitions. They are also the first ever American couple to win the British Open Amateur Rising Stars Latin Championship. Currently Denys Drozdyuk continues to perform, compete, and teach.
