Kress Foundation to Fund Five Language School Fellowships

The Samuel H. Kress Foundation of New York has awarded the Middlebury College a grant of $283,250 to fund five fellowships at the Language Schools each summer for the next five years. The grant extends a Kress Fellowship program that began in 2010 and has already enabled 26 students to attend the Language Schools. Read more.

 

Challenge Continued—Make Your Gift Now and Double the Impact!

Last fall, in honor of the 100th anniversary of the founding of Middlebury's first summer Language School, Ted and Kathy O'Connor Truscott announced they would match all gifts made to the Language Schools up to a total of $350,000. We met the challenge and, inspired by that success, the Truscotts have offered to match an additional $150,000 in gifts. Both members of the Class of 1983, Ted attended the Chinese School, while Kathy spent a semester in Madrid through the Schools Abroad. Join them in in celebrating the centennial by making a gift now.
