Middlebury Receives $4.2 Million Gift for Language Study

In May, Middlebury received an anonymous $4.2 million donation to support scholarships for language study at the Middlebury Language Schools and the Monterey Institute of International Studies. The fund honors President Liebowitz and his wife Jessica and recognizes the Centennial of the Language Schools in 2015. Read more.

Centennial Challenge Announced

At this summer’s Commencement, Vice President Michael Geisler announced a new giving challenge in celebration of the Language Schools’ first century. A Middlebury alumni couple has launched the Centennial Challenge, offering to match every gift this year to the Language Schools with an equal gift to Language Schools financial aid, up to $350,000.
