  • Acadian Asset Management with Ted Noon '01.5 (Monday, October 20th 2025, 1:30 pm - 2:30 pm EDT)

    When: Monday, October 20th 2025, 1:30 pm - 2:30 pm EDT Location: Atwater , Dining Seminar Room (ATD 102) , 99 Shannon St, Middlebury, Vermont 05753, United States Join Ted Noon (Chief Marketing Officer at Acadian Asset Management and Midd ‘01.5) to learn about systematic investing and discuss careers in this field. Acadian ($150B AUM) is a Boston-based systematic asset manager investing on behalf of the largest pension funds, governments, endowments, foundations, and other institutional investors worldwide. Ted will host a discussion on Acadian, systematic investing broadly, and careers paths in asset management.  Based on student interest we can address a range of topics ranging from what systematic investing is--to exploring roles and pathways for liberal arts students within this technically-driven corner of the investment world (and yes, liberal arts students can excel here; Acadian employs over a dozen NESCAC grads).

    When: Monday, October 20th 2025, 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm EDT Location: Axinn Center , 220, 15 Old Chapel Rd, Middlebury, Vermont 05753, United States Join us for this information session to learn about the UVA McIntire School of Commerce's Specialized Master's Programs. The M.S. in Commerce (MSC), a 10-month master's program designed for non-business majors, offers specialization in Biotechnology, Business Analytics, Finance, and Marketing & Management. The M.S. in Accounting (MSA), a 9-month, STEM-designated, 30 credit hour program features tracks in Financial Reporting & Assurance and Tax Consulting, provides students with the opportunity to fulfill the 150-hour requirement for CPA licensure upon graduation. The M.S. in Global Commerce (MSGC), a dynamic nine-month program offered with top-ranked partner school, ESMT Berlin, immerses students in world-class business education across two continents,  delivering an unparalleled learning experience that blends cutting-edge skills in finance, marketing, and AI with invaluable international exposure. This session will include a comprehensive overview of the academic programs, student experience, and career development support as well as an overview of the admissions process and next steps.
