  • Building a Career in International Affairs: An Alumni Conversation (Friday, October 31st 2025, 12:30 pm - 1:30 pm EDT)

    When: Friday, October 31st 2025, 12:30 pm - 1:30 pm EDT Location: Davis Library , 105A, 110 Storrs Ave, Middlebury, Vermont 05753, United States Join Zach for an informal conversation about his work at the intersection of international relations, politics, and finance at the U.S. Department of the Treasury. Zach will discuss where graduate school might fit into the journey, skills that can be key to success, and what it’s like to work in DC these days, as well as how you can make the most of your time at Middlebury.   He is also very happy to talk current events from a practitioner’s perspective.  All students, all majors welcome.  Bring your questions.  A light lunch will be served. *** Zach Mollengarden ‘12 serves as Deputy Executive Secretary for International Affairs in the U.S. Department of the Treasury. Prior to joining Treasury, Mr. Mollengarden worked in the Washington, D.C. and Singapore offices of Three Crowns LLP, a specialist international arbitration firm. Following law school, he served as a clerk for Judge Kevin Newsom of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit. Mr. Mollengarden holds a J.D. from Yale Law School, where he was an articles editor on the Yale Law Journal, and an MPhil from the University of Cambridge.  At Middlebury he studied Political Science and Religion.

  • Columbia Law School Info session (Wednesday, November 5th 2025, 12:30 pm - 1:30 pm EST)

    When: Wednesday, November 5th 2025, 12:30 pm - 1:30 pm EST Location: Sunderland, 110, 356 College Street, Middlebury, Vermont 05753, United States Learn about admissions to law school and how to best present yourself with LSAT scores, letters of recommendation, and the personal statement. A representative will be on campus to talk about all of this and more, including how to make the most of your time at Middlebury to be a strong applicant. All majors and all class years welcome.

  • College to Climate: CareerLab Climate Career Accelerator (Thursday, November 6th 2025, 4:30 pm - 6:30 pm EST)

    When: Thursday, November 6th 2025, 4:30 pm - 6:30 pm EST Location: Franklin Environmental Center at Hillcrest , 103, 531 College Street, Middlebury, Vermont 05753, United States Finding a climate job can be scary and easy to procrastinate. Let us do all the heavy lifting- all you have to do is show up and participate. Join our guests from College to Climate in an engaging 2-hour workshop designed to help you kick-start your climate career search. A laptop or computer is needed for online activities. What it looks like: no fluff, no boring, drawn-out lectures. Just engaging activities to build your climate portfolio and network. Think a hackathon, but for your own entry-level job and internship search. This event is also a great primer before the upcoming Climate Conference: What Works Now? on November 13-15 where over a dozen alums working in climate solutions will be here to chat with you about their careers.

MiddWorks for Vermont Summer Internship Program

Spend the summer making a difference for Vermont! Middlebury College is deeply vested in and committed to the future of our home state! MiddWorks for Vermont Summer Internship Program is funded by Middlebury College Center for Careers and Internships and provides internships with a variety of organizations that advance the following:

Pathways & Perspectives

Pathways & Perspectives connects you one-on-one with alumni in Midd2Midd who’ve been in your shoes and are now thriving in a wide range of careers. This series offers 20-minute virtual conversations with alumni volunteers from a variety of industries. These chats are a chance to ask questions, explore career paths, and get personalized advice about graduate school, work culture, and how your Middlebury experience can translate into meaningful opportunities.
