Master’s in Arabic students can complete their degree in four 6-week summers in Bennington, Vermont or one 6-week summer followed by an academic year at the Middlebury Institute of International Studies in Monterey, California and a final 6-week summer in Bennington, Vermont.

*Tuition, housing, and food are included in the total bill. Students are required to live on campus and have meals together in dining halls, organized by language. Cost of attendance is for first summer only.

Students admitted to the MA program may apply for financial aid which can cover up to 100% of the four 6-week summer program option, depending on the student’s demonstrated need.

Academic Year Option at the Middlebury Institute of International Studies

Students who choose the Monterey option will register for 18-20 credits (roughly 6-7 courses) during the academic year at the Middlebury Institute of International Studies at Monterey (MIIS). This option is intended for candidates on the Arabic pedagogy (TAFL) track only.

Middlebury Arabic School Students who choose the AY option get a 50% discount per credit at MIIS. 

To apply for federal loans to help cover the cost of tuition and living expenses at the Middlebury Institute, students must complete the FAFSA (school code 001241) and the Institute’s financial aid application.
