  • Design Your Midd: The Bucket List (Wednesday, April 14th 2021, 4:30 pm - 5:30 pm EDT)

    When: Wednesday, April 14th 2021, 4:30 pm - 5:30 pm EDT Location: Unknown Bucket Lists are popular because they allow us to dream big and plan for things we want to do in our life before we eventually "kick the bucket." So why not create a "Bucket List" for college? It’s a fun way to think through choices for your time at Middlebury and beyond. Let's keep your dreams top of mind as you experience all that Middlebury has to offer. This program is designed for First Years and Sophomore Febs, but all students are welcome. This program is co-sponsored by Blueprint and the Center for Careers and Internships.

  • Careers in National Security Using Foreign Language (Arabic or Russian) Skills (Wednesday, April 14th 2021, 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm EDT)

    When: Wednesday, April 14th 2021, 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm EDT Location: Unknown Torden is a New England-based professional services firm that provides foreign language solutions to the Federal Government – specifically, the Intelligence Community. Working as members of an integrated Government-Contractor team in support our nation’s National Security, Torden language professionals help protect against threats emanating from our Nation’s adversaries. Torden language professionals must meet the Government language requirements, as well as be vetted for security clearances. The qualification process can be lengthy, but can also be accomplished while you are completing your degrees. Torden’s requirements include Russian and Arabic language professionals to support National Level intelligence requirements from U.S.-based facilities. Our employees are a combination of native linguists and graduates from the nation’s top institutions for foreign languages. We will brief you on our current openings, the security process, and what life is like as a Torden professional.

  • Exploring Graduate School in International Affairs (Wednesday, April 14th 2021, 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm EDT)

    When: Wednesday, April 14th 2021, 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm EDT Location: Unknown Come learn from a panel of graduate students and alums at a variety of top schools. If you’re curious if graduate school is the right move for you, this is the event to attend. Bring your questions. All students welcome Here are the panelists: Exequiel Caceres ’15 was a Middle East Studies major at Midd and went to the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy at Tufts for a Master’s degree in 2020. He is currently a program associate at Creative Associates International in Washington D.C. Alexandra Widas ’08 was an International Studies major (Political Science and Russian focus) at Midd and went to Georgetown to get a Master of Science in Foreign Service and then went to Columbia Law School. She is now a Law Clerk at the U.S. Court of Appeals for the First Circuit. Olivia Heffernan ’14 studied international politics and human rights at Midd and went to Columbia University School of International and Public Affairs for her master’s degree. She is now a social justice journalist, activist and researcher. Courtney Cano ’18 studied Political Science, Religion and Philosophy at Midd and after doing the Peace Corps in Zambia, is now at the Middlebury Institute of International Studies (MIIS) studying international policy and development.

Field Guides

Field Guides help students think broadly about where their academic work may lead them in a professional context. 


futureforward features several alumni and parents who are leaders in a variety of career fields, discussing their industry’s current environment, their perspective on the future outlook for that career field, and action steps students can take now to position themselves for entry into those career fields.

Live from DC

Live From DC is an online discussion among Middlebury alumni on legislation, legal remedy, and remediation efforts.


MIDDVantage is a virtual career exploration program that offers Middlebury students and alumni exposure to fields of interest during a time in which in-person career programming, internship, and job experiences have been curtailed due to COVID-19.

Student Treks

Student Treks connect students with alumni and organizations during onsite visits and job shadowing experiences.


UpNext brings alumni in a specific career industry to campus to give students an insider’s understanding of that industry.
