  • Curious about a Career in Finance? Join us for a Conversation with the Chair of the Global Financing Group and Partner at Goldman Sachs, Susie Scher ’86 P’24 (Friday, October 22nd 2021, 3:00 pm - 4:00 pm EDT)

    When: Friday, October 22nd 2021, 3:00 pm - 4:00 pm EDT Location: Axinn Center , 229, 15 Old Chapel Rd, Middlebury, Vermont 05753, United States Please join the Center for Careers and Internships and the Student Investment Committee for a conversation with Susie Scher ’86 P’24. She will discuss her path from Middlebury to Wall Street. This will be her second year in a row joining us and first time in person! Susie is chair of the Global Financing Group within the Investment Banking Division (IBD) at Goldman Sachs. She serves on the Partnership Committee, IBD Executive Committee, IBD Risk Council and Americas Inclusion and Diversity Committee. Susie is a senior advisor to the IBD Council for Advancement of Racial Equity and the global sponsor of the LGBTQ+ Network. Previously, Susie was co-head of the Global Financing Group. Before that, she was co-head of the Americas Financing Group. Earlier in her career, Susie served as head of Investment Grade Capital Markets and Risk Management in the Americas Financing Group. She first joined Goldman Sachs in 1990 as a summer associate and rejoined the firm as a vice president in 1997. Susie was named managing director in 2001 and partner in 2006. Susie is a trustee of Little Red School House and Elisabeth Irwin High School and serves on the Board of Directors of the Posse Foundation. She was also a trustee of Middlebury College from 2006 to 2016. Susie earned a BA in Political Science from Middlebury College and an MBA in Finance from Columbia University School of Business.

    When: Monday, October 25th 2021, 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm EDT Location: Davis Library , 201/Watson Lecture Hall , 110 Storrs Ave, Middlebury, Vermont 05753, United States Craig Belanger (Managing Partner), Joe Giandomenico (Manager, Middlebury 15.5’), and Henry Walsh (Analyst, Middlebury 2021) from BCE Consulting will be hosting an in-person information session on the firm and the Analyst position. We encourage those with an interest in management and strategy consulting, but also those that are new to the profession and are looking to learn more, to attend this session. The information session will be an hour long with time for questions at the end. Look forward to seeing you there!

    When: Tuesday, October 26th 2021, 4:30 pm - 5:30 pm EDT Location: Hillcrest , 103, 531 College St, Middlebury, Vermont 05753, United States Bucket Lists are popular because they allow us to dream big and plan for things we want to do in our life before we eventually "kick the bucket." So why not create a "Bucket List" for college? It’s a fun way to think through choices for your time at Middlebury and beyond. Let's keep your dreams top of mind as you experience all that Middlebury has to offer. This program is designed for First Years and Sophomores, but all students are welcome. Sponsored by the Center for Careers and Internships.

Field Guides

Field Guides help students think broadly about where their academic work may lead them in a professional context. 


futureforward features several alumni and parents who are leaders in a variety of career fields, discussing their industry’s current environment, their perspective on the future outlook for that career field, and action steps students can take now to position themselves for entry into those career fields.

Live from DC

Live From DC is an online discussion among Middlebury alumni on legislation, legal remedy, and remediation efforts.


MIDDVantage is a virtual career exploration program that offers Middlebury students and alumni exposure to fields of interest during a time in which in-person career programming, internship, and job experiences have been curtailed due to COVID-19.

Student Treks

Student Treks connect students with alumni and organizations during onsite visits and job shadowing experiences.


UpNext brings alumni in a specific career industry to campus to give students an insider’s understanding of that industry.
