Middlebury College Campus Housing

Only MiddWorks and CCI-sponsored interns working in-person or hybrid with Vermont-based organizations may request Middlebury campus housing once they have accepted their internship offer.  Please see the all-student email sent by Residential Life on Monday, April 25, for details.

More information on summer housing fees and dining plans can be found here—please note that CCI provides Residential Life with a list of confirmed funded students approved for summer housing.

Also please note that campus move-in and departure dates may not align with your internship start and end dates—it is the intern’s responsibility to work with their supervisor to amend those dates, find alternative housing for the period(s) not covered by campus housing, or start/end the internship remotely.  Students may not remain on campus after finals and until the first June 11 and 12 move-in weekend unless they are working Reunion and Commencement or have extenuating circumstances and have received approval from their Dean and Residential Life.

Champlain College Campus Housing

Only MiddWorks and CCI-sponsored interns working in-person or hybrid with Vermont-based organizations may request Champlain College campus housing in Burlington once they have accepted their internship offer.  Please email internships@middlebury.edu with the following information:

  • name
  • ID
  • graduation year
  • cellphone
  • name of organization with which you are interning
  • internship start and end dates
  • Please use “Champlain College summer housing” as your subject line.

Preference will be given to those students with internships in the greater Burlington area.

Middlebury students will be housed in singles (and/or doubles if the number requesting Burlington housing is high; student may choose their roommate) at Summit Hall, 56 Summit Street in Burlington, a great location convenient to downtown businesses, restaurants, and recreation as well as public transportation.  See more information here.  The campus housing fee is $166 per week (eight-week minimum); no dining plans are available, but there is a kitchen and a full lounge.

Champlain College will receive the total fee for all students from CCI rather than individual student checks; therefore, please note that the housing fee will be deducted from your $4000 award (e.g., if your internship is eight weeks, your final award will be $4000 minus $1328 = $2672).

CCI will provide Champlain with a list of confirmed funded students approved for summer housing by May 6 so you must email internships@middlebury.edu to get on that list.  Move-in dates for Champlain can be as early as May 21; the end date is August 12.  Please note that campus move-in and departure dates may not align with your internship start and end dates—it is the intern’s responsibility to work with their supervisor to amend those dates, find alternative housing for the period(s) not covered by Champlain campus housing, or start/end the internship remotely.

Some off- and on-street parking is available.  Covid protocols to be determined.  Champlain College will require students to sign and confirm their understanding of housing code of conduct.

Please email Amy McGlashan with questions.  Housing may be limited on both the Middlebury and Champlain campuses so please confirm your plans as soon as possible.
