Maryait Khader is an experienced Arabic language educator with over 11 years of teaching experience. She began her career at Qasid Institute, where she progressed from a part-time instructor to a full-time role and eventually became the Intermediate level coordinator, managing both teaching staff and student progress. Her expertise extends to organizing cultural activities and training new teachers, which has honed her skills in team leadership and educational coordination. Over the past decade, Maryait concluded her time at Qasid as the Cultural Immersion Program Coordinator, further expanding her role to encompass the coordination of cultural activities and the management of immersive language programs.

In 2023, Maryait joined Middlebury College as an Arabic Instructor, where she continues to teach and contribute to the department. She has connected closely with students and contributed to campus life through various initiatives, including cultural workshops. Maryait teaches courses at all levels of the Arabic language sequences (ARBC101 through ARBC302) and offers fourth-year Arabic seminars on displacement in Arabic literature. Her academic background includes a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Arabic language and literature from the University of Jordan, where she focused on analyzing the discourse of displacement literature in the Arab world.
