Alani is a Middlebury Language Schools veteran as she has earned two MA degrees with Middlebury - MA in Italian and MA in Spanish. She then completed her Doctor in Modern Languages (DML) in Italian at Middlebury. In Summer 2020, she completed Level 1 in our first-ever online German immersion program. Alani is currently an Assistant Professor of French and Comparative Literature at Brown University.

Middlebury College has been delivering life-changing summer immersion language programs from beginner to graduate level for over 100 years. Middlebury offers 12 languages (Abenaki, Arabic, Chinese, French, German, Hebrew, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish) in Vermont for college credit and awards scholarships and financial aid. Students and teachers, scholars and artists, entrepreneurs and political leaders of all ages (18 to 80+) and language level gather at the Middlebury Language Schools every summer.
