How many guests can attend the ceremony per graduate?
This is not a ticketed event, so Grads are permitted to invite as many guests as they like to the ceremony.
What accessibility services are available during Commencement weekend?

Will my grad be photographed at the ceremony?
Yes, professional photographers will be on hand to photograph each graduate as they receive their diploma and cane.
Portraits will be available from GradImages a few days after the ceremony. Graduates may register in advance and include friends and family to receive a discount offer and notification when photos are ready. Please contact GradImages’ customer service department at (800) 261-2576, online at www.gradimages.com, or email ecc.giservice@gradimages.net with any questions regarding their offerings.
The class photo will be made available through SmugMug.
Will Commencement be livestreamed?
Yes, a link to the livestream site will be posted on the Commencement website a few days before the event.
May I bring my dog?
Service and assistance animals that are required because of a disability and are trained to work or perform a task are welcome.
Guests are encouraged to leave pets at home. Even the most well-behaved pet can become frightened and unpredictable in a crowded, noisy setting.
Pets are not allowed in College buildings including residence halls. Animals visiting campus grounds shall be leashed at all times and may not be left unattended or tied to any objects.
When do graduates need to move out?
Graduates must vacate their rooms by 6 p.m. on Sunday, Commencement Day. This deadline is to allow our staff to prepare rooms for Reunion and Language Schools.
Where can I purchase Middlebury merchandise?
The College Store in Proctor Hall offers a wide array of Midd clothing and gifts.
Store hours:
Friday 8:30 a.m.–5:00 p.m.
Saturday 9:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.
Sunday 9:00 a.m.–2:00 p.m.
Lost and found?
Any items left behind at the ceremony will be brought to the Accessibility Tent for the duration of the luncheon.
Are vaccinations required to attend?
No, but we continue to strongly recommend that all Middlebury students, employees, and visitors follow CDC guidance and stay up-to-date on their vaccinations. Please visit the College COVID-19 Updates page for details. Thank you!
