Dress for the Weather

While the Feb Celebration ceremony is held indoors, the Ski Down at the Middlebury Snowbowl is an outdoor event, and there is limited space inside the Snowbowl Lodge.

Temperature and weather conditions can vary considerably between the town of Middlebury and the Snowbowl, located in Hancock, Vermont. Please come prepared for all weather conditions and wear shoes appropriate for snowy and possibly uneven terrain. We encourage guests to dress in layers.

Guests with mobility challenges may have difficulty navigating the Snowbowl’s snowy, uneven terrain, and we are unable to provide outdoor seating. The Lodge at the Snowbowl is limited in terms of its capacity, and the Ski Down cannot be viewed from the Lodge. Guests attending the Ski Down will be outside and exposed to the cold for an hour to an hour and a half. Given the prolonged exposure, guests with mobility challenges and those susceptible to the cold are advised to watch the live stream from the Redfield Proctor Room in the Proctor Dining Hall.

Severe Weather

If severe weather poses a safety risk, a severe weather announcement will be communicated to Febs via email and posted on the Feb Celebration website.
