Zoom

Zoom is the recommended video conferencing software available to all Middlebury users.

If Zoom is down or not working, please try one of our other backup solutions listed below in recommended order:

MURAL is a digital workspace for visual collaboration. 

Loom

With Loom, you can capture your screen, voice, and face and instantly share your video in less time than it would take to type an email.

Chat Options

  • The Zoom application offers chat functionality outside of meetings between any users who have a Zoom account. Users can have individual or group chats and can create public or private channels.

Microsoft Teams

Microsoft Teams is another option for chat and offers much other functionality as well.

Visit teams.microsoft.com on the web and sign in with Middlebury credentials. We recommend downloading the application—the download option is in the bottom left corner of the web application.

Employee/Family Assistance Program

New Directions—previously E4Health—now has telephonic and virtual resources available for employees and their family members. They have an app available for download on your smartphone as well. When you log into the website they have a dedicated space for COVID-19 resources available to you.The EFAP has a plethora of resources to include (but not limited to):

  • Resource locators (child care, elder care, etc.)
  • Legal advice
  • On-demand webinars and virtual training on a variety of topics (personal and professional)
  • Resilience and emotional health well-being tips, publications, etc.
  • Family, relationship and self-care (emotional or physical) guidance
  • Connect live with mental health professionals 
  • Calculators (savings, 401k, mortgage, etc.)
