Below are the nationally competitive fellowships we frequently work with.

Listing of Fellowships

Review the list for opportunities you might qualify for and come in to talk with us to learn more. The list includes  direct-apply fellowships and those that require nomination or a campus evaluation process. Check the direct apply fellowships page for more opportunities and fellowship resources.

An asterisk* denotes fellowships open to non-U.S. citizens. See additional fellowship opportunities for non-U.S. citizens below.

Note: See UK-Irish scholarships for nomination instructions for the Churchill, Keasbey, Marshall, Mitchell, Rhodes and St. Andrews scholarships. We have an early April nomination deadline for the fall application cycle for these fellowships.

Additional Opportunities for Non-U.S. Citizens

Most competitive fellowships are restricted to U.S. citizens. Some may also be open to permanent residents. A few are open to many or all citizenship types.

Grinnell College’s Scholarships and Fellowships has helpful information on scholarships for international students including a list of over 100 opportunities.

Students may also find opportunities listed at profellow.com. There is also a broad list compiled by the National Association of Fellowship Advisors.

Additionally, some universities do have funding for international students accepted into graduate study programs.
