  • Sustainability & Environmental Affairs Welcome Back Social and Poster Session

    Join Sustainability & Environmental Affairs (SEA) for our third annual Welcome Back Fall Social & Poster Session! SEA Summer Interns from Sustainability Solutions Lab (SSL), The Knoll, Climate Action Fellowship (CAF), and New Perennials will display their array of work in a poster session, and we invite you to come chat with them, explore their projects, meet the SEA staff, hear about our programs, and learn more about sustainability & climate action at Middlebury!

    All are welcome, refreshments will be provided.

  • 4th Annual Mid-Autumn Harvest Festival at the Knoll

    As the maple leaves turn gold and plant friends begin to fruit and flower, we are also welcoming one of the well-celebrated East/Southeast Asian festival - Mid-Autumn Festival, which is deeply connected with culture, community, and land. 
    With the peak harvest season having come to the Knoll, it is time to celebrate this abundance together with friends and loved ones. Join us for a Mid-Autumn Harvest Festival at the Knoll with music, performances, and food!

  • Soaring with the Kuaka: Migrations of Knowledge and Future Making from Aotearoa to Addison County

    This public event will welcome a delegation of Maori and Pasifika colleagues visiting Middlebury College from Aotearoa/New Zealand. Panel members will discuss the role of purakau (storytelling), waiata (song), and whakatauki (proverbs) in Indigenous Maori and Polynesian practices of wellbeing and planetary stewardship. Through the teachings of the kuaka, a shorebird known for its remarkable migration from Aotearoa to North America, this event invites attendees to explore the idea that journeys are collective and community futures can soar in spaces of mutual learning, responsibility, and relationship.

  • EcoReps Lorax Movie Night

    Do you speak for the trees? If so, come to EcoReps Movie Night (Wednesday, Oct. 7, 7 PM in Hillcrest 103) and spend time with like-minded sustainability enthusiasts! 

    All are welcome: bring your friends or come make new ones! Popcorn and snacks will be provided.

    Have a gift or two that you’ve been meaning to wrap for the holidays? Bring it to the EcoReps sustainable wrapping and movie night and wrap amongst friends! We’ll have a movie playing in the background to get you into the holiday spirit. 

    All are welcome! Sustainable wrapping materials, hot cocoa, and snacks will be provided.
