Most master’s students finish their graduate degree in just over two years. Students must complete three 6-week summers on the Middlebury, Vermont campus and two academic years in between with remote courses,

What’s Included

Courses
Earn Middlebury course credits. 1 Middlebury unit is equal to 3 semester hours of credit.

Room
All students and faculty live on campus in residence halls organized by language.

Meals
Three meals daily, all in language, in our dining halls; most dietary restrictions can be accommodated.

Activities
Daily cocurricular activities in language—including arts, sports, lectures, films, plays, dance, and more!

Immersion
Students take the Language Pledge® to speak only in language. Speak, learn, play—even dream—in language.

Not Included
Travel to and from program, books, and any other personal expenses.
Funding
Graduate students can apply for financial aid, which can cover up to 100 percent of the cost of the program, depending on the student’s demonstrated need.
