Abeer holds a BA in Nursing and an MA in Women’s Studies from the University of Jordan. Her academic background allows her to approach gender and health from both practical and critical perspectives. She loves working in this field because it lets her explore the intersections of care, justice, and storytelling—bringing overlooked voices and issues to light.

Abeer has written investigative reports on Jordan’s health system, focusing on how it affects different communities. Her thesis, The Formation of Jordanian Personal Status Law: Colonialism, the State, and Local Elites, examines how legal frameworks in Jordan and the Arab region have been shaped by colonial and political forces.

She continues to work independently as a journalist, translator, and researcher, specializing in feminist studies. Her current focus is on evidence-based journalism and narrative reporting, making complex issues accessible and impactful for wider audiences.
