Caroline Schirmer Götz

Caroline was born in Florianópolis, Brazil, where she graduated from the Federal University of Santa Catarina with a degree in Portuguese Language and Literature. Passionate about education and languages, she has specialized in Portuguese as a foreign language, with teaching experience in Portuguese for academic purposes, as a heritage language, and as a host language. Since 2018, she has also served as an oral examiner for the Certificate of Proficiency in Portuguese for Foreigners (Celpe-Bras). Caroline has been part of different undergraduate and graduate extension projects involving Portuguese teaching, audiovisual translation, and cultural activities, always working with diverse groups from various countries and backgrounds.
