Duaa Ajarmeh Holds a bachelor’s degree in Political Science and a Master’s degree in Gender Studies. Her thesis on Women’s Role in the Development of the Environmental Management System in Jordan was the first of its kind in the MENA region. Duaa has over 15 years of professional experience in the fields of Gender and Development and Research. She has worked with national and international institutions including USAID, UNFPA, UNDP, and the Information and Research Center of the King Hussein Foundation.

She has managed multiple gender and women’s empowerment projects that focused on generating and disseminating knowledge, raising women and girls’ awareness and building capacity. She is primarily interested in social and public policy analysis from a gender perspective which she researches using quantitative and qualitative research methods, and has published several research and policy papers in these areas.
