Rula is an Arabic educator from Jordan with more than a decade of experience teaching students of all levels.  She earned her BA in Media Studies from Yarmouk University in 2009, and her MA in Teaching Arabic as a Second Language from the University of Jordan in 2014. She began her career teaching Arabic with the Peace Corps in northern Jordan. In 2011, Rula received a Fulbright grant to work as a Foreign Language Teaching Assistant in Amherst, Massachusetts. Rula has worked as a teacher, supervisor, and curriculum developer with a number of language programs in Jordan, and has also worked in translation and interpretation.

Rula is passionate about empowering women and fighting for human rights in her community, and sees education as a crucial tool for combating stereotypes and promoting social justice.
