Zaynab graduated from Bates College in 2013 with a dual bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Creative Writing. Following graduation, a majority of her career has focused on supporting survivors of violence through mental health and social advocacy, as well as case and program management. As a Syrian-Palestinian American, she is passionate about serving her communities in the US, which led her to working in professional and volunteer capacities with Arab communities in New York City. After completing a Fulbright Scholarship, in 2024 Zaynab began working with the Middlebury School in Jordan as a Resident Coordinator, where she applies her social work background to support students in navigating and immersing themselves in all that Jordan has to offer. Zaynab is interested in uplifting indigenous communities in and outside of her own and cultural preservation through the arts. When not at work, you can find her crafting, reading poetry, or playing with the local street cats of Amman.
