Peter Nash Stavros is the Assistant Director of Programs for Legal Services at the International Refugee Assistance Project (IRAP) in Amman, Jordan. He is a fluent Arabic speaker and Harvard Law School graduate as well as a member of the New York Bar. Peter is passionate about international legal issues, with a particular focus on refugees and displacement as well as international humanitarian law. He has a Certificate in Transnational Law from the University of Geneva and has taken courses at the Hague Academy of International Law and the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies in Geneva. These interests have led Peter to a diverse array of organizations including the UN High Commissioner for Refugees, the International Criminal Court, and IRAP. He previously taught Environmental Law and Policy at Boston College. Peter is a proud military spouse and an avid traveler with a passion for diving.
