Speakers of Russian can study in Kazakhstan while the School in Russia is on hold.

While our School in Russia is on pause, students of Russian have the chance to study in Astana, Kazakhstan, where Russian is an official language. Students will take Russian language courses and Middlebury-organized electives designed for language learners at Nazarbayev University, with the chance to take mainstream courses alongside Kazakhstani students at KAZGUU University. All coursework will be in Russian under the Middlebury Language Pledge.

The School in Russia’s sites in Irkutsk, Moscow, and Yaroslavl, are currently suspended.
